Can I use the Paelluxe burner indoors?
No. The Paelluxe gas burner is designed exclusively for outdoor use. Never operate it indoors, in a garage, under a tent, or beneath any roof or overhang because the flame produces carbon monoxide.
Which type of gas should I use?
Use Propane (LPG) with a 30 mbar regulator. If you replace the supplied regulator, the replacement must be a propane LPG regulator rated at 30 mbar and certified for use in your country.
How do I check for gas leaks before cooking?
Before every cooking session, brush soapy water onto every hose joint, the regulator-to-cylinder connection, and the regulator-to-burner connection. If bubbles appear, close the cylinder valve immediately and do not light the burner. Never use a flame to check for leaks.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Immediately close the cylinder valve. Do not ignite anything or operate electrical equipment. Move yourself and others to fresh air, inspect the hose, regulator, and connections in daylight, and replace any damaged parts before the next use. If the smell persists, contact your gas supplier and Paelluxe customer support.
What is the correct ignition sequence?
Always light the inner burner ring first, then the outer ring. Use a long-reach lighter or fireplace match, keep the flame above the burner ring before opening the valve, and adjust each ring to the desired flame after ignition.
How should I shut down the burner after cooking?
First, close the propane cylinder valve and allow the burner flames to go out naturally. Then close both burner control valves. This clears the gas remaining in the hose between cooking sessions.
Can I use butane or natural gas instead of propane?
No. The supplied burner and regulator are designed specifically for Propane (LPG) at 30 mbar.
What size paella pan should I use?
Use a pan whose diameter matches or slightly exceeds the burner's outer ring. A pan that is too small can concentrate heat and warp, while a pan that is much larger may leave cold edges. For the best results, use the pan supplied with your set.
How should I maintain my Paelluxe burner?
- Clean the burner after every use.
- Keep the burner holes clear.
- Store the burner in a dry place.
- Check the hose for cracks before every cooking session.
Can I leave the propane cylinder connected between uses?
Yes, only if the set is stored outdoors and the cylinder valve is fully closed. If you store the set indoors, always disconnect the cylinder first.
